If you crave for the "itis," that pleasant euphoria following way too much amazing food, this new joint is where it's at. As the names suggests, this is TEXAS-style 'cue—the flavor's in the rub and the white oak-smoking, not drowning in the sauce. It's less sweet and more savory, sometimes spicy. And more than anything it's just dang good.

DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING AT LEAST ONE RIB—we won't even attempt a description here (can one describe heaven??) And everyone should have the pinto beans—their flavor is one-of-kind (and award-winning from what we hear). The vinegar-based slaw is the way it outta be, and offerings like fried okra, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, and fries should please the whole fam.
